Two men are scheduled to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today charged with religiously aggravated harassment following allegations of filming antisemitic social media content in North London.
Adam Bedoui, 20, born 24 May 2005, and Abdelkader Amir Bousloub, 21, born 26 February 2005, both of West Drayton, Hillingdon, were charged by the Crown Prosecution Service late Friday evening.
The charges follow a Metropolitan Police investigation into reports that members of the Jewish community in Stamford Hill were being targeted, harassed, and recorded for TikTok videos.
The prosecution alleges that the defendants travelled to the Hackney district to intentionally approach and film individuals in the street without their consent for the purpose of religious harassment.
Huw Rogers, chief crown prosecutor for CPS Direct, said: "Our team of out-of-hours prosecutors from CPS Direct worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring charges and it is in the public interest to pursue criminal proceedings.
