
Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu: Charged With Murder of Finbar Sullivan at Primrose Hill

Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu is due to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court today charged with the murder of a student at a North London park.
The 27-year-old, of Southbury Road, Enfield, who is a Nigerian national with links to the University of Ilorin and Aquinas College in Akure, was arrested on Friday and formally charged on Sunday by Metropolitan Police detectives following a five-day investigation.
The charge relates to the death of 21-year-old Finbar Sullivan who was fatally stabbed in Primrose Hill on Tuesday evening.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 6:40pm following reports of a group fighting at the popular viewpoint.
Mr Sullivan, a filmmaker and student at the London Screen Academy, was pronounced dead at the scene despite intervention from paramedics.
A second man in his 20s was also discovered with stab wounds in nearby Regent’s Park Road but his injuries were later deemed non-life-threatening.
The defendant was arrested on Friday, 10 April, while a 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released without charge.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are continuing to appeal for witnesses who were in the park at the time of the incident.
Police have requested that any individuals with mobile phone footage of the altercation provide it to the investigation team via the major incident portal.
The case is expected to be formally sent to the Central Criminal Court following today’s preliminary hearing.
Officers have confirmed that Mr Sullivan’s family are currently being supported by specialist liaison officers as the murder inquiry continues.
