A 46-year-old Birmingham man has been sentenced to 25 years’ imprisonment following his conviction for the rape and sexual assault of a woman and a teenage girl.
Juma Ahmadi, of Whitmore Street, was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 15 April after a jury found him guilty of nine counts of sexual offending.
The defendant was convicted of five counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and one count of sexual activity with a child following a trial.
In addition to the custodial sentence, the court imposed an indefinite sexual harm prevention order to manage the defendant's conduct upon his eventual release.

The investigation was initiated in July 2025 when a teenage girl disclosed to a hospital physician that she had been subjected to sexual abuse over a three-year period.
Following the disclosure, emergency services were contacted and the teenager provided a video-recorded interview to specialist officers from the West Midlands Police.
During the subsequent police inquiry, a second victim, a woman in her 40s, came forward to report that Ahmadi had raped her on multiple occasions.
The court heard that Ahmadi had targeted the teenage victim with offers of money as a precursor to the sustained period of sexual abuse.

Detective Constable Charlie Smith, of the force’s Child Public Protection Unit, described Ahmadi as a dangerous offender whose actions necessitated a lengthy term behind bars.
The officer noted that Ahmadi maintained a not guilty plea throughout the proceedings, resulting in the victims having to provide evidence before a jury.
The sentencing marks the conclusion of a significant public protection investigation led by West Midlands Police.
The defendant will serve at least two-thirds of his sentence in custody before being eligible for parole.
