Emmanuel Jeche Jailed for Eight Years for Milton Keynes Rape

A 28-year-old man has been sentenced to eight years in prison after a jury unanimously convicted him of rape following a Thames Valley Police investigation.

Emmanuel Jeche, formerly of Walnut Tree, Milton Keynes, was sentenced at Amersham Crown Court on Thursday, July 2.

His sentencing follows an eight-day trial that concluded on May 14, 2026, where jurors rejected his defence and found him guilty of a single count of rape.

The court heard that the offence took place in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, during the early hours of June 12, 2021.

Jeche, who was 23 at the time of the attack, admitted during the police investigation that sexual intercourse had taken place but claimed that it was consensual.

The victim reported the rape to the police on June 13, 2021, prompting an immediate investigation. Jeche was subsequently arrested the following day and later charged with the offence.

Following the sentencing, Police Staff Investigator David Brandon of Milton Keynes CID commended the victim for her bravery throughout the prolonged legal process.

"No sentence can ever compensate a victim for the trauma caused by a rape offence and the long-term effects such crimes can have," PSI Brandon said.

"However, I hope this sentence provides the victim with a sense of closure and allows her to continue rebuilding her life following this awful experience.”
