Noel Clarke Charged With Sexual Assault, Voyeurism & Exposure Over Alleged Offences Against Five Women
Former Doctor Who star & Kidulthood director faces prosecution following a Met Police probe into alleged incidents spanning nearly a decade.
Actor and filmmaker Noel Clarke has been charged with six sexual offences, including sexual assault and voyeurism, following a Metropolitan Police investigation.
The 50-year-old, of Kensington, faces two charges of sexual assault, three charges of voyeurism, and one charge of exposure. The Crown Prosecution Service authorized the Metropolitan Police Service to bring the prosecution after receiving a file of evidence from detectives investigating allegations made by five women regarding incidents alleged to have occurred between 2007 and 2016.
Clarke is scheduled to make his first appearance in connection with the charges at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 21 October at 10:00hrs.
The criminal proceedings follow a police inquiry initiated in September 2025. Detectives first arrested Clarke on 25 September 2025 before compiling the case material for prosecutors. Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney confirmed that the women connected to the charges continue to receive support from specially trained officers, noting that the Met's investigation remains ongoing and urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Prior to the criminal charges, Clarke built a high-profile career in the British entertainment industry as an actor, screenwriter, and director. He achieved widespread public recognition playing Mickey Smith in the BBC science-fiction series Doctor Who. Behind the camera, he established himself as a prominent filmmaker by writing the 2006 drama Kidulthood, before writing, directing, and starring in its sequel Adulthood (2008) and the subsequent trilogy finale Brotherhood (2016).
