Two armed robbers who travelled from Norwich to subject three women—including an expectant mother—to a terrifying home invasion have been handed lengthy prison sentences at Lincoln Crown Court.
Derek Brown, 61, who was pictured visibly crying in his official police mugshot, and Kevin Gibbs, 46, forced their way into a property on Tytton Lane East in Boston at around lunchtime on November 30, 2025, alongside a third unidentified accomplice.
The court heard that the violent gang systematically restrained two of the three female occupants in the kitchen, binding their hands together with cable ties as they prepared to ransack the home.
The intruders wielded a knife and pressed an imitation firearm directly against the heads of the victims, one of whom was seven months pregnant, while aggressively demanding they hand over valuable property.
Passing sentence, Judge Simon Hirst described the raid as a traumatic joint enterprise, noting that the terrified women genuinely believed they were going to be shot dead if they did not comply with the gang's demands.

The men subsequently fled the scene with a stolen purse, two mobile phones, and a Rolex watch, escaping back across county lines in a hired vehicle.
Following an urgent and fast-paced investigation by Lincolnshire Police, the getaway vehicle was successfully traced to a flat in Norfolk, prompting the deployment of armed officers who apprehended the men later that same evening.
Forensic analysis subsequently linked Brown to the crime scene via DNA evidence, while investigators tracked Gibbs down through the formal rental records of the hire car.
Both men previously pleaded guilty on March 12 to charges of robbery and possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, and have remained on remand in custody ever since.

During Monday's sentencing hearing, Brown, of Kirklees, Norwich, was jailed for 12 years and nine months, while Gibbs, of Sherwell Road, Hellesdon, was handed an 11-year and two-month custodial term.
Following the conclusion of the case, Detective Constable Chad Birch condemned the completely unacceptable acts of violence, stating that nobody should ever be subjected to such extreme trauma within the sanctuary of their own home.
