Kamran Khan’s offences, allegedly occurred between September 2024 and July this year. Now he is to stand trial for them.
An illegal asylum seeker accused of a series of serious sexual offences against a minor is to face trial at the Inner London Crown Court early next year, following a brief but significant case management hearing in open court this week.
Kamran Khan, 43, appeared in the dock wearing a standard-issue grey T-shirt and was assisted throughout proceedings by an Urdu interpreter. Speaking only to confirm his not guilty pleas, he remained composed as Judge Benedict Kelleher listed the matter for trial. Court records confirm that Khan has been remanded in custody since his initial appearance in July, where the allegations against him were formally put.
The indictment alleges multiple offences said to have taken place between September 2024 and July 2025, during which Khan was residing in Lambeth, South London.

He faces charges including two counts of oral rape of an 8 Year-old primary school girl, the repeated incitement of the child to engage in sexual activity, and the coercion of the child to witness sexual acts.
The prosecution case alleges that Khan compelled the complainant to watch sexual activity on several occasions, and on at least one occasion forced the victim to perform a non-consensual sexual act upon him.
These charges, all of which fall under serious indictable sexual offences against a minor, will be determined at a full seven-day trial now scheduled to begin on 5 January 2026.
The court is expected to hear evidence over the course of one working week, with time allocated for cross-examination of key witnesses and the presentation of expert reports where required.

During the short preliminary hearing, Khan appeared to follow proceedings closely. He was observed placing his hand on his head and stroking his beard as he entered his pleas.
No members of the public were heard to react in court, and reporting restrictions under section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992 remain in force to protect the identity of the complainant.
Khan, originally from Pakistan, is understood to have been living in the UK under asylum arrangements, though his precise immigration status and date of entry remain subject to clarification from the Home Office
The case has already generated attention due to its serious nature and the vulnerability of the alleged victim, with future hearings likely to examine both the timeline of alleged incidents and Khan’s movements during the period under scrutiny.

No further applications were made by either counsel during the hearing. Defence counsel did not request bail, and no representations were made regarding psychiatric assessment or fitness to plead. The defendant will remain held on remand until the trial date, which has been fixed in the first week of 2026.
Judge Kelleher made no public comment on the facts of the case but ordered both sides to ensure disclosure is completed well ahead of the scheduled start date to prevent any adjournment. The matter will return for a pre-trial review later this year, at which the court will confirm the readiness of both prosecution and defence to proceed.
Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
