🔴 TEEN’S ‘PIZZA’ 999 CALL EXPOSES SNAPCHAT RAPIST
Teen girl’s desperate ‘pizza order’ call to 999 exposes predator who groomed her online – rapist Abdul Kahar caged for 15 years in shocking Birmingham child sex attack. A 41-year-old man has been jailed for 15 years after he posed as a teenager online to groom and rape a 15-year-old girl in Birmingham.
Abdul Kahar, of Anthony Road, Alum Rock, appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday where he was sentenced following his earlier guilty pleas.
The court heard that Kahar met the girl on Snapchat in June 2025, where he falsely presented himself as a 17-year-old boy named Jay. The pair arranged to meet in July, when he collected her in his vehicle and supplied her with alcohol.
He went on to rape and sexually assault her in the vehicle. Following the offences, the teenager made a 999 call from the car in which she pretended to order a pizza – a technique she had seen in a TikTok video used by another victim to summon help discreetly.
The West Midlands Police call handler recognised the coded nature of the request and asked yes-or-no questions to confirm the situation and establish her location. The girl provided details of the vehicle’s registration number before officers located her by the roadside in Druids Heath.
Kahar was subsequently arrested at his home address in Alum Rock.
He pleaded guilty on 1 December to two counts of raping a female under 16, four counts of sexually assaulting a female over 13, non-fatal intentional strangulation, and breach of a sexual harm prevention order.
Detective Constable Lauren Campbell of West Midlands Police said: “I want to praise the brave actions of the girl and also praise the call handler for having the foresight to understand this was a call for help from someone who was vulnerable and in danger.”
