Prosecuting, Kate Fassam-Wright detailed the Crown's allegations regarding the incident that occurred at approximately 2:30 pm on Saturday, June 27, on Ealing Broadway.
The prosecution alleges that Mohamed approached a signal-controlled pedestrian crossing in a white Seat Leon. Ms Fassam-Wright told the court that the traffic light was red at the time and a large number of pedestrians were lawfully crossing the busy London road.

Setting out the Crown's case, Ms Fassam-Wright stated: "At this point the defendant accelerated, undertook stationary traffic on the near side and drove directly through the crossing into the pedestrians striking multiple individuals."
The court heard allegations that several victims were projected into the air as a result of the impact, causing serious injuries that included broken facial bones and a broken pelvis.
Following the initial impact at the crossing, the prosecution alleges that the defendant continued driving and subsequently crashed into stationary traffic at a nearby junction, striking vehicles including a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Prius.
The Crown asserts that the defendant then failed to stop and drove away from this second scene. Furthermore, a witness reported that a white vehicle had collided with his car at the junction of Hanger Lane and Uxbridge Road.

The white Seat Leon was eventually stopped on Warwick Road. The prosecution stated that the defendant was subsequently located and arrested later that day at a residential address.
Emergency services, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars, a volunteer emergency responder crew, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance, were dispatched to the scene on Saturday. A total of five pedestrians were injured in the collision.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed that three patients were treated at the scene before being conveyed to hospital, with one taken to a major trauma centre by road as a priority and the other two taken to a local hospital.
The remaining two injured individuals received medical treatment at the scene and did not require hospitalisation. Police initially stated that none of the injuries sustained were considered life-threatening or life-changing.
While Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) London conducted initial inquiries into the circumstances of the collision, the Metropolitan Police have confirmed the incident is not being treated as terrorism.
