🔴 STOKE THUG JUNAID MOHAMMED JAILED FOR TERRORISING TWO WOMEN
A Stoke-on-Trent man who subjected two women to a sustained campaign of harassment and threats over three weeks has been jailed for 34 months.
Junaid Mohammed, aged 27, of no fixed address but previously from Stoke-on-Trent, appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court where he was sentenced after entering guilty pleas to harassment, assault, and making threats to damage or destroy property.
The offending came to light in February this year when officers were called to a hotel in the city following reports that one woman had been assaulted.
Subsequent enquiries revealed Mohammed had also targeted a second woman with repeated telephone calls, death threats, and threats to damage both her vehicle and her home.
He was further found to have stationed himself outside her property on multiple occasions.
Staffordshire Police built a case against the defendant despite his initial denials, leading to the guilty pleas.
Passing sentence, the court imposed a total of 34 months imprisonment.
PC Olivia May, the investigating officer, welcomed the outcome, stating that the case demonstrated the force’s commitment to pursuing those responsible for harming others.
Mohammed will serve half the term in custody before release on licence.
