Upon arrival, officers confronted the armed individual, leading to a confrontation during which the officer was stabbed. Fellow officers swiftly intervened, applying a tourniquet to stem the bleeding before administering first aid.
The injured officer was subsequently transported to the hospital by the London Ambulance Service and is currently in stable condition. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
