Man Charged After Hanley Knife Attack
A 23-year-old man has been charged following a stabbing in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Seyed Pouria, from Shelton, has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a knife in a public place, and attempted robbery.
A 23-year-old man has been charged following a stabbing in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. Seyed Pouria, from Shelton, has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a knife in a public place, and attempted robbery.
Police responded to a disturbance on Parliament Row, Hanley, just after 11:20 am on Saturday, 12 October. West Midlands Ambulance Service treated the victim, who was later taken to hospital.
Pouria remains in custody and is set to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre today (Monday, 14 October).
Chief Inspector Dave Barrow, the force’s knife crime lead, emphasized the force’s commitment to addressing knife crime, stating, “Carrying a knife only increases the risk of harm to everyone involved. We will continue working with partners to make our communities safer.”
