Birmingham predator Kassam Hussain guilty of raping one teen, grooming, sexually assaulting & twice abducting others in ruthless nine-month child exploitation spree. A Birmingham man has been convicted of raping a teenage girl and committing a series of other predatory offences in a prolific a simultaneous sex crime spree which saw him abduct and abuse two teenage girls in the same month.
Kassam Hussain, of Antrobus Road in Handsworth Wood, faced unanimous guilty verdicts on nine counts at Birmingham Crown Court following a two-week trial concluding on 4 December.
The jury found him responsible for the rape of one teenager in September 2024, alongside grooming and sexual assault against a second girl that same month, culminating in her abduction in May 2025.
In an extraordinary criminal undertaking, Hussain also abducted a third teenage girl during May 2025, marking three victims targeted in rapid succession.
Prosecutors detailed how the defendant exploited the girls’ vulnerabilities, preying on their personal circumstances through calculated grooming tactics.
All victims, whose identities remain protected, have been safeguarded by authorities, with ongoing support provided amid the investigation’s complexities.
Detective Constable Sarah Toye of the Central Complex Child Public Protection Unit led the probe, describing Hussain’s actions as deliberate exploitation of the young and vulnerable.
She praised the victims’ courage in testifying, urging others with similar experiences—historical or recent—to contact police for assistance.
Hussain remains in custody awaiting sentencing in February 2026, where the court will determine penalties for the abductions, assaults, and rape.
