Nigerian National Goodness Sokoh JAILED For 21 Years Over Snapchat Rape & Grooming
Nigerian national Goodness Sokoh, 35, has been jailed for 21 years at Amersham Law Court for raping and grooming teenage girls.
A 35-year-old Nigerian national who used Snapchat to groom four teenage girls with offers of free vapes and cannabis before subjecting them to horrific sexual attacks has been sentenced to 21 years’ imprisonment.
Goodness Sokoh, 35, of North Street, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, was sentenced at Amersham Law Court by Judge Catherine Tulk on Tuesday 20 October 2026, following a Thames Valley Police investigation.
Sokoh was found guilty by a unanimous jury on 4 August 2026 of three counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault by penetration, two counts of causing a child to watch a sexual act and one count of inciting a child into a sexual activity.
The court heard that between 31 October and 17 December 2025, Sokoh targeted four girls, all aged in their teens, communicating with them on Snapchat under the handle 'GWDY_SXNGS'.
Sokoh offered the teenagers free vapes and cannabis to lure them to meet him at locations in Pitstone, Buckinghamshire, where he coaxed them into his vehicle before carrying out the sexual assaults and rapes.
Sentencing Sokoh, Judge Catherine Tulk told him that his actions were clear evidence of grooming, stating he had exploited the victims' age and vulnerability, believing he could do whatever he wanted with them when not one of the girls had wanted to engage in sexual activity.
Victim impact statements read to the court outlined the devastating psychological impact inflicted upon the teenagers and their families. One victim disclosed that she had resorted to self-harm, ceased attending school, suffered severe insomnia and no longer felt safe following the attacks.
A mother of another victim detailed how her daughter had attempted to take her own life, while another parent described how her daughter was trapped in a cycle of nightmares and felt judged by others for having been groomed and raped.
Detectives from the Thames Valley Police Child Abuse Investigation Unit arrested Sokoh on 17 December 2025 and formally charged him two days later.
Following the sentencing, investigating officer Detective Constable Natalie Palmer praised the immense bravery and resilience displayed by the victims and their families throughout the investigation and court process.
Under the terms of the sentence imposed by Judge Tulk, Sokoh must serve at least two-thirds of his 21-year custodial term before being eligible to apply for parole.
He was also made subject to a lifetime restraining order prohibiting any contact with the victims and was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life. Police confirmed they are keeping an open mind regarding the possibility of further victims and urged anyone with relevant information to contact Thames Valley Police.
