Hi and welcome to this Video Production News Court Report:
A cyclist has been convicted of murdering a BMW driver in southeast London after a road incident led to a violent confrontation. Ahmed Gonladieu, 25, was found guilty at the Old Bailey of fatally stabbing 29-year-old Alexandros Josephs on 10 May last year.
The court heard that Gonladieu attacked Josephs through the open window of his car after the BMW driver knocked over and dragged his bike. Following the assault, Josephs managed to drive a short distance before crashing into a line of parked cars. Blood from the victim was later found on Gonladieu’s trousers, leading to a change in his account of events.
Despite Gonladieu’s attempts to alter his story, the jury took just over eight hours of deliberation to find him guilty of both murder and possession of a bladed article. The verdicts were met with tears from Josephs’ family present in the courtroom.
