Singh was arrested at a friend’s house at 9.19am on the morning of the stabbing.

Prosecution evidence revealed that Singh had instructed other housemates not to mention the fight to the authorities before he left the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Tim Lindley stated that the review of CCTV proved crucial in recovering the vital evidence and holding the defendant accountable.
The fifteen-year custodial sentence reflects the severity of the violence and the defendant's subsequent attempts to evade justice by hiding the knife.
The judge directed that the defendant will serve the custodial term in full less any time already spent on remand.
