BREAKING, Sara Sharif’s Dad & Stepmum Found Guilty of Shocking Murder – Jury Convicts After Harrowing Trial!
Hi, and welcome to this Video Production News Court Case Update.
Just in, the father and stepmother of 10-year-old Sara Sharif have been convicted of her murder following a trial at the Old Bailey.
Sara endured prolonged abuse, including burns and beatings, over two years before her body was discovered with multiple injuries at her home in Woking, Surrey, in August 2023.
Urfan Sharif, 43, and Beinash Batool, 30, fled to Pakistan with Sara’s siblings a day after her death. Faisal Malik, 29, Sara’s uncle, was found guilty of causing or allowing her death.

Their sentencing will take place next week.
Evidence revealed a note near Sara’s body, allegedly written by Sharif, admitting to the killing. While Sharif initially claimed the confession was false and intended to protect Batool, he later accepted full responsibility for Sara’s death under cross-examination.

In the UK, murder carries a mandatory life sentence. The court will determine the minimum term the convicted must serve before being eligible for parole, based on sentencing guidelines and the circumstances of the crime.
Factors such as the prolonged abuse Sara Sharif endured and the aggravating elements—like her young age, sustained injuries, and the abuse of trust by her caregivers—are likely to increase the minimum term.
For causing or allowing a child’s death, the maximum sentence is 14 years, reflecting its severity under UK law.
Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all, stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
