Asylum seeker ‘raped teen, called her sex doll’ in alley attack

Oxford trial: Asylum seeker, 35, allegedly raped teen in alley, then boasted in texts and sent kissing photo to friends, court hears.

An asylum seeker allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in an Oxford alleyway after demanding she become his “sex doll”, a court has heard. Amin Abedi Mofrad, 35, is accused of forcing the teenager to the ground and assaulting her following an encounter in the city centre. Prosecutors claim Mofrad, who denies the charges, sent triumphant text messages to friends afterwards, including a photo of him kissing the girl.

The incident allegedly occurred last February when the victim, intoxicated and with a friend, was expecting a lift home when she was cat-called by two men on a bench. Oxford Crown Court was told the girl, unable to walk steadily, approached the bench. Mofrad, nearly 20 years older than the teenagers, reportedly initiated contact with compliments before escalating to sexual touching. He allegedly grabbed her bottom, placed his hands down her trousers, and fondled her breasts despite her protests. The prosecution states Mofrad then declared his intent to have sex with her, leading her to an alleyway for the rape. The teenagers fled the scene and reported the matter to police months later. Mofrad was arrested in September and detained again in February this year. Investigators found contacts in his phone, one misspelling the victim’s name, and a text boasting about the encounter. He told police he had never raped anyone and denies charges of rape and sexual assault. The trial continues.
