An unprovoked violent incident in Walsall has once again brought attention to the growing concerns surrounding anti-social behavior in the area. Alpesh Patel, the victim of the vicious attack, described the terrifying moment he was set upon by a group of between four and five unknown males, aged between 16 and 18. Patel had been on his way to visit a friend, and had bought food, drink and tobacco from local shops, when the attack occurred. Patel shared graphic images of his injuries, revealing the extent of the brutality he endured.
The attack, which occurred on Walstead Road in Walsall on January 19, left Patel bloodied and in need of hospital treatment. He suffered a knocked-out tooth, loose teeth, a split lip, and injuries to his ribs, face, and body. Patel recounted how he was assaulted from behind, with one of the assailants throwing an egg at him before the group proceeded to kick him relentlessly while he lay on the ground. The attackers stole his bags.
In the aftermath of the attack, Patel expressed his fear and reluctance to leave his house, highlighting the sense of insecurity that has pervaded the once peaceful neighborhood. In his own words "It's not safe round here anymore."
He emphasized how the incident has left him physically and emotionally scarred, with ongoing pain and trauma.

The incident prompted West Midlands Police to launch an urgent investigation, urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward. With the perpetrators still at large, there is a renewed emphasis on community cooperation and vigilance to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
This latest incident adds to the growing concern over anti-social behavior in Walsall, contributing to its notoriety across the country.
