🔴 Tube Psycho Jailed for Horrific Platform Double Stabbing
Knife maniac who stabbed two innocent Tube passengers in a frenzied attack at Kennington station is locked up as chilling CCTV exposed his unexplained violent rampage.
A knife-wielding attacker who carried out a horrific and entirely unprovoked double stabbing at a south London Tube station has been jailed for 11 years.
Nicholas Orlando Green, 36, of Kennington Park Road, was convicted at Inner London Crown Court in September of two counts of causing Grievous Bodily Harm with Intent, alongside charges of possessing a bladed article and common assault.
He was sentenced today, Thursday 4 December, following a British Transport Police investigation which rapidly identified him as the lone assailant.
The court heard that at around 10.30pm on 27 March 2024, two men aged 44 and 42 entered Kennington Underground station with a larger group after attending a dance class nearby. They moved to separate platforms while others waited for trains.
Moments later, Green tapped into the station, descended to the platform and immediately launched a sustained, frenzied assault on the 44-year-old, stabbing him repeatedly for around 20 seconds. The victim was already on the ground when Green continued the attack with the knife clenched in his right hand.
Hearing shouts, the second victim ran to help. Green instantly turned the knife on him, knocking him down and stabbing him in rapid succession, before members of the public intervened.
Green then moved towards the lift and assaulted a 31-year-old woman before fleeing the station.
Both male victims were rushed to hospital. One suffered multiple stab wounds to the chest and a fractured arm while the other sustained 13 stab injuries in total.
Detectives traced Green within hours after identifying the bank card he had used to enter the station. He was arrested the following day at his flat, where officers recovered the card, the trainers worn during the attack and a freshly washed jacket.
BTP Detective Chief Inspector Paul Attwell described Green’s conduct during interview as obstructive and mocking, adding that officers worked tirelessly to secure the evidence required to bring him to justice.
“This was a truly horrific and unprovoked attack that left two innocent men with life-altering physical and psychological injuries that they continue to recover from.
“Green has never provided an explanation for his torrent of violence. During police interviews he repeatedly laughed, lied, argued and tried to frustrate our investigation as much as he could, but our officers worked tirelessly to gather crucial evidence that helped the jury see through his lies and bring him to justice.
“I hope this sentencing brings some measure of justice and reassurance to the victims and their loved ones. We will stop at nothing to ensure violent offenders like Green are held to account and removed from the streets.”
