Emergency services were called to reports of a stabbing outside the Vu Lounge on Bushey High Street, where arriving police officers and paramedics discovered Mr Ramachanthran suffering from serious injuries.
He was transported to a hospital for emergency treatment but died from his wounds a short time later, prompting the launch of a murder investigation by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.
The court heard that Williams had left the scene of the attack prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. He was tracked down and arrested by officers the following day, Sunday, November 30, 2025.
A woman in her 30s was also arrested the day after the incident on suspicion of assisting an offender, but police confirmed that following a thorough investigation, she faced no further action.
Speaking after the jury delivered the guilty verdict, Detective Inspector Lee Martin, from the Major Crime Unit, expressed gratitude to the local community and paid tribute to the victim's family.
Detective Inspector Martin stated that the thoughts of the police remain firmly with Mr Ramachanthran’s family and friends, who he noted have shown immense dignity throughout an incredibly difficult time.
He also thanked the members of the public who stepped forward to assist officers with their inquiries during the initial stages of the investigation, adding that the police team is now looking towards the formal sentencing hearing on Monday.
