Convicted child groomer: Regan mann sentenced
REGAN MANN, 20, of Wolverhampton, has been sentenced to 10 years 6 months in prison after grooming, abducting and raping two young girls.
REGAN MANN, 20, of Wolverhampton, has been sentenced to 10 years 6 months in prison after grooming, abducting and raping two young girls.
He contacted a girl under the age of 13 using social media platform Snapchat, grooming her and letting her believe he was 14 or 15.
She attended a meet up on 19th March, bringing along a friend, and he took both to his flat where he then raped them.
West Midlands Police's DC Lucy Simpson, of the Complex Child Abuse Investigation Team, emphasised the shocking nature of this crime and expressed satisfaction at the sentence.
She continued : “The two girls have been very brave in providing evidence which has helped to successfully convict Mann. We hope their bravery encourages other people subjected to sexual abuse to come forward.”
West Midlands Police urge anyone who has been through similar abuse to come forward, reassured that all victims are entitled to lifelong anonymity.
