Boy, 12, Arrested After Assault & Knife Threat Against Fellow Pupil

A 12-year-old boy was arrested in Kingstanding by West Midlands Police after allegedly assaulting a fellow school pupil and threatening him with a knife. The incident occurred on June 20. The suspect is currently in custody as the investigation continues.

Project Guardian Team WMP, which focuses on youth violence and knife crime, shared details about the arrest on social media: "Task force officers deployed to Kingstanding to arrest a 12-year-old boy, recently identified for assaulting and threatening to stab a school student in the area. The alleged assault took place on June 20. Suspect is now in custody."
