A convicted killer who was jailed for life earlier this week over the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old university student has appeared back in court alongside his father and brother to face multiple weapons charges.
Vickrum Digwa, 23, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court just one day after receiving a mandatory life sentence at Southampton Crown Court for the murder of Henry Nowak.
The Crown alleges that Digwa, along with his father Moga Singh, 52, and his brother Gurpreet Digwa, 27, was in possession of an array of illegal weapons on December 4, 2025, the day after the fatal stabbing occurred.
All three family members, who reside at St Denys Road in Southampton, are jointly facing six counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.

The weapons allegedly recovered by police during the course of their investigation include a flick knife, an extendable baton, knuckledusters, a machete, swords, and kusaris.
In addition to the joint private possession charges, 27-year-old Gurpreet Digwa faces four further distinct counts regarding weapons in a public setting.
The prosecution alleges that Gurpreet Digwa was in public possession of an offensive weapon—specifically an asp—alongside a prohibited air rifle, an axe, and a kirpan knife.
During the administrative hearing, prosecutor Natalie Angel requested an extension from the bench to allow the Crown time to review the cache of recovered weapons and determine which specific charges to progress.

Defence solicitor Harmail Gill, representing all three family members, successfully applied for an adjournment of at least four weeks to allow both legal teams to fully review the case file.
Mr Gill told the magistrates that the brief postponement would prevent the defence from arriving at the next hearing without prior notification of the exact charges the Crown intends to move forward with.
Jennifer Pitt, chair of the magistrates' bench, formally adjourned the proceedings until a further scheduled hearing at 2:00 pm on July 9, 2026.
The court granted unconditional bail to Moga Singh and Gurpreet Digwa until their next appearance, while Vickrum Digwa was remanded on technical bail as he continues to serve his life sentence.

The new weapon allegations come as the defendants' mother, 53-year-old Kiran Kaur, remains in custody awaiting sentencing after being convicted at trial of assisting an offender by concealing the initial murder weapon.
