
Primrose Hill Murder Suspect Denies Killing in Court Outburst

A twenty-seven-year-old man has appeared before Stratford Magistrates’ Court charged with the murder of a film student following a fatal incident at a North London viewpoint.
Oluwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, of Southbury Road, Enfield, faced a single count of murder during the administrative hearing on Monday morning.
The defendant spoke only to confirm his name, address, and date of birth before making a direct address to the bench from the dock.
As the proceedings commenced, Ogunyankinnu raised his hands and stated that he did not kill or stab anyone and alleged that the police had apprehended the wrong person.

District Judge Ashwinder Gill informed the defendant that the charge was too serious to be dealt with at the magistrates’ court and remanded him in custody.
The case follows the death of twenty-one-year-old Finbar Sullivan who was fatally wounded on Primrose Hill on the afternoon of Tuesday, 7 April.
Police were called to reports of a large fight at the summit at approximately 6:40pm where the victim was discovered with critical injuries.
Mr Sullivan, a student at the London Screen Academy, was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of emergency medical teams.

The court heard that the victim had been using a new camera at the beauty spot when the altercation involving several individuals broke out.
A second man in his twenties was also discovered nearby with stab wounds to his hands and back which were later confirmed to be non-life-threatening.
The victim was the son of Christopher Sullivan, the founder of the Blue Rondo à la Turk band and the Wag Club, and the grandson of cinematographer Michael Seresin.
Ogunyankinnu was arrested by detectives from the Specialist Crime Command on Friday and was formally charged on Sunday.

A twenty-five-year-old man who was also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender has been released with no further action taken against him.
Detectives led by Detective Inspector Andy Griffin have stated that several lines of inquiry are being followed as part of the ongoing investigation.
The police have renewed appeals for witnesses who were present in the busy park during the Easter holiday period to provide information or digital evidence.
Specialist officers are currently reviewing mobile phone footage of the fight which has been circulating on social media platforms since the incident.
Ogunyankinnu did not enter a plea during the brief appearance and was ordered to remain in custody until his next hearing.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the Central Criminal Court on Wednesday for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Metropolitan Police officers continue to maintain a presence in the area as the forensic and door-to-door inquiries proceed.
