🔴 NORWICH TURF WAR: LONDON GANG MEMBER GUILTY OF RAMBO KNIFE MURDER
A London drug runner has been found guilty of murdering a rival teenager in a "ferocious" two-minute raid at a Norwich flat, marking a bloody escalation in a county lines turf war.
Leon Bangura, 21 (DOB: 01/01/2004), of Old Kent Road, London, was convicted today (8 January 2026) at Norwich Crown Court following a harrowing 12-week trial. The jury reached a unanimous verdict after eight hours of deliberation, finding Bangura guilty of the murder of 19-year-old Kalvin Taylor.
The court heard that Mr Taylor, a member of the ‘Batman’ drugs line, was "executed" on the afternoon of Sunday, 15 September 2024. His body lay undiscovered on a sofa in a state of decomposition for nearly a week until a member of the public alerted police on 21 September.
The Fatal Raid
The prosecution detailed how Bangura, a soldier for the rival ‘Lenny’ line, stormed a flat on Lefroy Road accompanied by two locals, Adam Dugdale and Carrie-Anne Hall. The trio "rushed" the property at 1:00 PM after Dugdale used a pretext to get the door opened.
While Hall attempted to pin the tenant in a bedroom, the intruders confronted Mr Taylor in the lounge. The teenager was found in possession of a "small football-sized" ball of drug wraps, estimated to be worth £5,000. After demanding "Where's the money?" and seizing a jacket containing cash, Bangura plunged a Rambo-style knife into Mr Taylor’s chest.
"It’s done, let’s get out of here," Bangura reportedly told his accomplices before they fled the scene in a waiting unlicensed taxi.
The Aftermath
The tenant of the flat, who swerved a second stabbing attempt by Bangura, told the court he left a window open in the hope that the body would be discovered and left Mr Taylor’s phone nearby so he could be identified.
Detectives utilised CCTV and cell-site data to track Bangura’s movements. Footprints and digital evidence placed him at the scene, and he was eventually arrested in a parked car in Norwich just four days after the body was found—still in possession of a knife.
Justice for Kalvin
While Bangura was convicted of murder, his co-defendants Adam Dugdale, 56, and Carrie-Anne Hall, 52, were found not guilty of murder or manslaughter. Two other men, Soulay Fornah and Matthew Holmes, were cleared earlier in the trial.
Bangura had previously pleaded guilty to possession of a knife and multiple counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (heroin and crack cocaine).
Detective Inspector David McCormack, Senior Investigating Officer, praised the victim's family, stating: "Kalvin’s family have shown immense courage throughout this lengthy and harrowing trial... Today’s verdict is a testament to that relentless commitment to securing justice for Kalvin and his loved ones."
Bangura has been remanded in custody and will be sentenced on 23 April 2026.
