It is alleged by the Crown that the defendant mowed down multiple pedestrians, resulting in three individuals being rushed to hospital—including one who was taken to a major trauma centre—while a further two people required treatment at the scene by paramedics.
The Crown further alleges that following the initial collision with the pedestrians, the defendant failed to stop and continued driving until he collided with two other vehicles, at which point he was apprehended by police officers.

All details outlined by the prosecution during today's hearing remain Crown allegations until a verdict is reached by a jury.
